Insurance & Fees

I currently accept Maryland Optum Health (Medicaid), CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna.

Please know that if you are using insurance to pay for services, I will need to provide them with information including a diagnosis.

For all other insurance carriers, services with me would be considered out-of-pocket. I can provide documentation that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I recommend you call your insurance company and ask the following:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per the calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

  • What is the process for submitting a superbill?

$200 for the initial assessment (90 min)

$125-$150 for individual sessions (45-60 min)

$150-$175 for couples sessions (50 min)

$75-$100 for supervision sessions (60 min)

Out-of-Pocket Fees

Therapy is a partnership that I want to be affordable and sustainable. Tiered pricing is offered after five therapy sessions or three supervision sessions. Fees are subject to change every two years. I will give at least 30 days notice before rates change.

No Surprises Act Disclosure

In 2021, The Consolidated Appropriations Act established requirements to protect people from surprise medical bills. These “No Surprises” rules include transparency around healthcare costs. If you’re paying out of pocket, you’ll be sent a Good Faith Estimate for services outlining the fees for services I provide.

If you need support disputing a bill, you may contact the Maryland Consumer Protection Division’s Health Education and Advocacy Unit at 410-528-1840 or 1-877-261-8807 (toll free) for more information about your rights under Maryland state laws. For federal law, see the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
